Painting class April

The painting class is such a committed collection of artists, all working really hard at improving skills and learning new techniques.

They all paint in the medium of their choice, to include water colours,

acrylics and pastels, referencing images which they have personally selected.  I believe that everyone needs to work with images that they have selected and have a connection with. If one cannot work from primary source material working from one’s own photographs is the next best thing. You have seen something that attracts you, you have chosen the angle or perspective you like, and you have taken the photograph because you enjoy what you are seeing. This translates into a reference that has a strong connection to the artist, and inspires them to do their best. We are all so different, we need to make our own choices to achieve at the highest level.
